Howdy!

Every so often, I'll do posts for one month that are themed to a certain subject.
Because WTY is community-based, I've made this poll so that you, the reader, can decide on that theme!
It also gives time for people who want to guest-post come up with an idea before reaching out. :)

This poll will change as needed, and it will be closed one month before the given date.
If you have a idea for a month's theme, feel free to leave a suggestion in the comments!

Below is information on each category. Scroll past that, and you'll be able to vote on the poll.

Mental Health:

It's not a big secret that today's youth are rather infamous for being depressed, anxious, and having varying degrees of mental issues.
Well, this post series will be all about mental health. Some things we might hit on are..

  • Positive and damaging mindsets
  • Tics and habits
  • Physical health

Finding a Moral Line:

This is more directed to my Christian readers, but I'm sure others can benefit from it as well.
This series will be about being a Christian teen in this very secular world, where sex, gore, cussing, alcohol, drugs, vaping, and other such things are everywhere
Here's some things we might talk about.

  • Reading/watching things that include the aforementioned content
  • Use of swears and cusses
  • Use of alcohol, drugs, vaping, etc

The Role of the Youth:

Everyone has a role in life. From babies to elderly people, they all have a purpose where they're at in their age, and so we, the youth, do too. In this series, we'll talk about what that role is.
Here's some things we might talk about:

  • Ministering as a youth
  • Your role in your family
  • Your role in society

If you have any more specific things you'd like to see in these categories that I didn't list, leave a comment and let me know!
And even if the category that you voted for doesn't win, don't worry! WTY will still cover it another time!

And if you have something not related to any of these categories or the monthly theme, and just have something you'd like WTY to do a post on in general, leave a comment about it and it'll be added to a list!

9/11 Anniversary: 2020

**Disclaimer: I do not own the copyright or even know if there is copyright to any of the photos included in this post.  If I knew where each photo was from, I would credit them.  As this day is a important one, I think imagery of its events nineteen years ago is important.** Hey youth, Nineteen years ago today, my nation, the United States of America, suffered from a horrific terrorist attack.  I wish I was able to go and tell you every single story I know about this awful day. I wasn't born at the time, but it's no less a important day to me, and so spreading awareness of it is something that I really want to do given some things that a certain state  (*cough* New Jersey *cough*) has done. Instead of telling you every single second-hand thing I know about this day, I'm going to tell you briefly about what happened (in case you need a refresher or are not natively American and don't know).  The twin towers were part of the World Trade Center. These build...

My Experience and Thoughts Regarding Youth Group ~ Guest Post by Lavender Bleu!

Hiah!  This post is by a friend of mine, a fellow youth and writer by the name of Lavender Bleu. Her blog is   Always Write The Good Write , so go check her out and show a youth some support once you're done here!  As always, you're welcome and encouraged to leave a comment with your own experiences/thoughts/questions, just remember to stay respectful. ^-^  And now, I leave you in Lavender Bleu's capable hands. Enjoy! - EJ ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~  Hi everyone, I’m Lavender Bleu!  Before we get around to the important stuff (which is why you’re here) I figure I ought to introduce myself a little more. As I already said, I’m Lavender Bleu. I normally don’t blog about this kind of thing (my own blog is about writing) but I really love what E. J. is doing, and she was nice enough to let me guest post, so here I am! ^-^ This is pretty much a response to her post about youth group, more or less, it’s to help contrast her experience with mine. So! Let’s get to what you ...

Things That I Wish I Was Taught (Or At Least Taught Sooner) ~ Guest Post by Lavender Bleu!

Hey there!  She's back! Returning for her second time to WTY, Lavender Bleu now brings us a post about things she wishes she was taught (or at least, taught sooner). I think that a lot of teens have a list of things they wish they were taught, or they will. Maybe Lavender Bleu's post will teach you about a few things before you reach a point where you think "man, I wish I'd known that sooner" later on in life.  Her blog is  Always Write The Good Write , so once you're done here, pay her a visit!  As always, you're encouraged to comment your thoughts, experiences, and questions here (maybe leave a comment about something you  wish you had known sooner). Just remember to be respectful. :)  - EJ ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Hi, it’s Lavender Bleu again, remember me? Yes? No? Well, I’m one of the guest posters on WTY, a blogger (obviously), and a lover of cats. Anyway, I’m here to share another guest post on WTY, this time about things that I wish my parents (or ...
